Greetings life lovers of London and beyond,
Hope this finds you healthy and content as winter approaches! November prp
boasts yet another banquet of interdisciplinary creative delights to
stimulate all your senses...
At the door opening hour of 7pm, interdisciplinary artist Danielle
Williams will be presenting her time-based video and performance
installation. To be followed by a projection of haunting images
and sounds composed by photographer Adan Miguel.
The performative evening will
be introduced by Noel Macken’s ‘Blake Re-Awake’ – a poem
celebrating William Blake’s birthday which is in fact the very night of the
28th November! Ears shall then be tickled by various musical
delights – Welsh-Iranian singer/songwriter Roshi presents her own
evocative songs alongside occasionally radical interpretations of some
Iranian songs (www.myspace.com/roshisongs). To be followed by mid-fi acoustic
folk pop by bromide (www.myspace.com/theinternetatemysoul).
The Blowpipes Trombone Trio will then be deranging traditional music
and tumbling into free improvisation with the odd poem (www.myspace.com/blowpipes).
Bombarding reality like an
explosive comet, the Atomic Crashdown (aka followers of Refzilla) will
get you down and rockin’ (http://www.myspace.com/refzillamusic). And
last but not least, beat masters atricylist are back to keep your
dancin’ feet satiated!
Inspired by subVERSE
philosophy, prp will be raising money for the Nelson Mandela Children’s
Fund (www.nelsonmandelachildrensfund.com). We’ll be
charging the usual mere £5 at the door. In order to raise a decent amount of
cash, a cheap bar will also feature, so please leave your vintage wines and
special brews at home.
We love our contributors and want to keep them happy, therefore performances
will follow a programme which will start at 7pm so feel free to get here
early and hang out in the hall from then onwards.
Oh and a bit of additional info and new(ish) wee procedure – please note
that this is a private event and we must have a list of names at the door, so
if you reckon you’ll be coming please email gizzardbogue@yahoo.co.uk
with your name and the names of anyone else you think may be coming. I advise
to err on the hypothetical (ie. feel free to send me as many names as you
like!) rather than the definitive as we simply won’t be allowed to let anyone
who’s name is not on the list or who we don’t recognise – bummer I know, but
we’ve got to be keeping council and neighbours happy otherwise we risk no
longer being able to run the event! Also, we will no longer be able to allow
anyone else in after midnight…
Nearest London Overground station is Dalston Kingsland and it is just behind
the Vortex jazz club, Gillett Square. For more info on buses and how to get
there, check out www.parkroadpilot.org
Hope to see you there!
