Scratchy Records presents
Scratchstock
#16
The
Miller, 96 Snowsfields Rd SE1 3SS
Saturday 15th August
featuring..
Glass
Host is a partnership
of 5 individuals hailing from Romania, New Zealand, London, the NORTH and even
Bournemouth. This diversity is expressed in their eclectic portfolio of songs
which can go from a serene dreamscape to something resembling a plane spiraling
through turbulence. Vocals soar and scream, Guitars shimmer and snarl, keys can rise like a wave or fall like rain, while the
bass and drums will either demand dancing, or pin you up against the back wall.
Regardless of the style, their mission statement is to always write catchy,
memorable and diverse songs that showcase what they all enjoy doing.

Bromide are Scratchy label boss Simon’s
electric power trio, worshipping at
the altars of Husker Du, The Only Ones, Dinosaur Jr,
Teenage Fanclub, Buffalo Tom and other melodic
rockers equally obsessed by songs, songwriting and
the euphoria associated with playing music through amplified electronic equipment. New cassette /
download single ‘I Remember’ released August 14th on Scratchy.
"Bromide’s spiky punk-pop is similarly literate but considerably
tighter. A fusion of Husker Du, The Replacements and Elvis Costello, their set
is stuffed full of hook sand melodies that are impossible to ignore, or get out
of your head for days.” Nightshift

Eddy Wright is one part Eddie Cochran, 200ml Buddy
Holly and 4kg dream-implanted chord sequences. Mix together and place in
time-proof dish in oven for several decades then serve like Roger Federer towards unprotected Simon Cowell
ballboy.

South East London / Kent and united by a shared love of bands from both sides
of the pond (no, not the Thames Estuary..) including Dinosaur Jr, The Smiths, The Jam, Early Elvis
